Dear Clients and Friends:
We are writing to update you about our Firm’s response to recent mandates related to COVID-19 aka Corona Virus.
First, we hope you and yours are healthy and taking prudent, reasonable measures to stay that way. We at Williams Family Law are grateful that none of our employees or immediate families are ill with COVID-19 related conditions.
Second, we want to update you on our operations given the recent government mandates.
We are committed to providing uninterrupted services to all of you. To be more specific, Williams Family Law continues to operate at full capacity at this time. However, to protect our team, clients, and colleagues, we are minimizing outside contact and limiting our outside communications to email, telephone and remote technology, like Zoom. At present, Shelly, Aly and I are still working at the office, and we are practicing “social distancing” principles and frequent hand-washings.
For now, legal services providers such as Williams Family Law can remain open if they “assist in compliance with legally mandated activities.” We view our work advising and counseling you and working with the opposition regarding compliance with court orders, particularly custody and visitation orders, as permissible under and consistent with the Governor’s orders. However, we also are ensuring we can work remotely should new orders or changing conditions make it illegal or unsafe for us to remain open.
Finally, we are tracking the orders the courts of Yolo, Placer and Sacramento are issuing, sometimes daily, so we remain abreast of what the courts are and are not doing while they are closed, and how the closures may impact your cases.
We ask for your patience, flexibility, and understanding during this time.
With sincere wishes of health and well-being from all us at Williams Family Law.
